How are we doing?

What are we doing?

Wyre Forest Matters' Children and Young People sub-group are doing their level best to map every bit of provision for children and young people in the Wyre Forest District.  The group are carrying out this task to identify gaps and overlaps, in preparation for the fact the County Council Children's Services are soon to be allocating a commissioning role to district LSPs.

The group will be populating a physical map with this data and aiming to find the gaps and overlaps, so are asking partners to provide as much detail as possible.  Address details are obviously very important as are: target age group, times, dates, short term or long term, voluntary or public sector provided, etc.

This mapping will cover all kinds of provision: supported housing, sporting activities, mental health sessions, sexual health sessions, church groups, arts groups, youth clubs, school clubs and so on, and being done in order to facilitate the group’s ability to guide the provision of youth activities in the district.   If you have any information that will help us, please contact Tracy Reck on 01562 732950 or tracy.reck@wyreforestdc.gov.uk

We're also working on developing a website to help us directly involve young people in our work, so that young people in the district are able to let us know their thoughts, likes, dislikes on what is happening/planned for the area.
