Health
Improvement Fund (HIF) Round 3 Round 3 opens on Nov 30th. This time
round, the panel are particularly keen to see projects around these topics: ·
alcohol support services · teenage pregnancy · activities for older people and adults
In preparation for the first round of HIF funding Wyre Forest partners came together to share and strengthen their
project ideas and in excess of £130k was awarded to the district. We would like to apply the same approach to this round. So if you are interested
in or planning to submit a bid to the Health Improvement Fund, let us know and we will hold a meeting for any Partners that
would like to be involved in this collaborative approach. What we found last time was that each project
was improved by having others cast a constructive eye over it, and that the assessors of the fund were impressed by the Partnership
working demonstrated in the Wyre Forest district.

Round 3 of the Health Improvement Fund will open for bids on 30 November 2009.
To coincide with this will be a workshop which will be on 30 November 2009, 10:30-12:00 at Diglis House Hotel, Severn
Street, Worcester, WR1 2NF.

The value of the
‘Round 3’ pot is just over £400,000 and up to £75,000 is available for individual initiatives.
Projects cannot be supported beyond 2011.

Wyre Forest Community Housing Community Grant scheme
The Community Housing Group recognises the importance of partnership working and the benefits of empowering customers to
develop and manage projects that address their identified needs. The Community Grant is a means of funding projects that will
help the community to develop and become sustainable.
We welcome applications from all groups and encourage innovative ideas. Your project must involve and/or benefit Wyre Forest
Community Housing Tenants and we are keen to support projects which will:
- Help people to work together for the benefit of the community.
- Help people to become more involved in their communities.
- Provide a broader range of facilities and services to local communities.
- Projects that improve the local environment.
- Improve people’s ability to access paid employment e.g. training programme's.
- Target underrepresented groups in the community.
